Appointments

Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call the clinic immediately.

Emergency & Urgent Care

We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 5 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has.   After hours and on weekends, we direct all of our emergencies to Veterinary Specialty Services in Manchester MO.  Their phone number is (636)227-6100. Emergencies can be things such a rat/mouse bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment, do not hesitate to call  during office hours.  It is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency, and ensure availability of the veterinary team. We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. We will do our best to work you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionist will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.

Mobile Veterinarian Services

Because we also treat farm animals, West 72 Veterinary Service is capable of making farm calls to treat sick animal, vaccinate and perform herd checks, and various surgical procedure needed to keep your animals healthy.  We are able to schedule routine farm visits.  However, we are unable to make emergency farm visits at this time. 

 

Hospice & End of Life Services

Our veterinarians and staff understand the grief of dealing with illness and losing a beloved pet.  West 72 Vet Service.  Our hospice and end of life euthanasia services give you and your family the time and space to say goodbye in a way that honors the relationship you've had with your pet.  The hardest decision we make as pet owners is also often one of the kindest things we do.  We go at the pace your family needs to honor the relationship and say goodbye.  Please call for more information regarding your decision.

Cremation Services

We offer cremation services.  We offer general cremations or private cremation services.  Please call for more information and prices.

Boarding

West 72 Veterinary Service also offers short term boarding for your dogs and cats. We board only for our existing clients.  We do not board any pets under 1 year of age. We offer a spacious fenced in area to allow for exercise and socialization as individual pets allow.   Cage space is limited so please be sure to call ahead and schedule your boarding appointments.

West 72 Veterinary Service accepts payment via cash, check, MasterCard, or Visa, Discover, American Express  & Care Credit. So that we can continue to provide you high quality service utilizing the best medical technologies, we request that payment be made at the time services are rendered.

We can provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges.
